Position Overview
- Surgical Nurse Position in the Operating Room-Weekend program day shift 7a-7:30p. Includes weekday on-call and holiday rotations
- Delivers quality care to patients through a team effort in working with others through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Assures patient safety by executing appropriate policies.
- Uses considerable judgment in providing a wide variety of services.
- Works with other healthcare professionals, including case managers, to optimize patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Educates patients and the public about various medical conditions; treats patients; and provides advice and emotional support to patients' families.
- Education: Associates degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Preferred Experience: Five or more years related experience or training.
- Other Credentials: AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider, Registered Nurse - NJ
- Knowledge and Skills: Possesses strong problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstrates high interpersonal skills at an individual as well as team level. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Adjusts quickly and reacts positively to change. Considerable knowledge of principles, practices and current trends in nursing. Possesses good work ethic.
- Special Training: Demonstrates knowledge of nursing skills, hospital practices, procedures and standards.
- Usual Work Day: 12 Hours
